REP Registration Steps 2026-2027

We’re excited to share that My Own Church has a new name: My Parish!

While the name has changed, the functionality remains the same. My Parish continues to serve as your parishioners’ online portal, helping them stay connected and engaged in parish life—from accessing contribution statements and requesting demographic updates to registering students for religious education.

What’s New in My Parish 

  • Parishioners will now access My Parish directly from the new ParishSOFT dashboard, rather than the old Family Suite home page.
  • If parishioners had a My Own Church account, they will need to update their login information the first time they sign in to My Parish.

How to use My Parish For Existing Users

They will be prompted to switch from their current username to an email-based username and set a new password. When you log in to https://sandiego.parishsoftfamilysuite.com/, the system walks you through a required account-migration process.

  • When you first log in to ParishSOFT you will see the notice below.

  • Selecting an email address for future logins
  • Resetting your password
  • Redirecting to the New Platform dashboard
  • Enter an email address you will use going forward
  • The email you choose becomes your new login credential
  • Create a password that meets all listed criteria
  • Ensure all requirements show a green checkmark
  • Select Done to continue
  • After resetting your password, you are automatically redirected to the Family Suite Home Page.
  • Those who never had a My Own Church account can follow self register to My Parish and please make sure to pick Mater Dei, Chula Vista as Organization

  1. Registration to REP is first come first served. Please register as soon as possible to get your first choice schedule. PC/Mac using Chrome/Edge is the preferred platform to register online.
  2. Parents or Head of the family, please go to the parish website and access the “My Parish” to view/update your file.
  3. Click on the Religious Education tab.
  4. Sign up your child/children by following these steps:
    • Choose the Term you are signing up for : 2026-2027
    • Add Student(s) by filling out the form
    • Please make sure to fill out all the items that apply to your student
    • Click Save
  5. Click Submit when finished. Please note, by submitting without the payment we cannot assign a student to a class.
  6. You will however receive an auto generated message stating "We have successfully received your Online Registration submission...and we cannot guarantee placement" (this means the form was received but registration is not complete because of no payment).
  7. Once the form is submitted, you will be directed to the Payment form: Pay & Submit.
  8. Please proceed to Pay Now to complete the registration. Registration Fee: 1st Child - $160 and $80 for every additional child. Sacrament class + $25 per student.
  9. For OCIA students registration fee is $160 + additional fees to be assessed when classes begin.
  10. Registration is only complete after payment is processed.
  11. You will receive a confirmation email about your child’s placement in the class. We ask for your patience at this time, we are receiving many registrations and your confirmation may take a bit longer.
  12. Thank you and if you need additional information, please call the Parish office at 619-656-3735 M-F 9:00am to 5:00pm with lunch break from 12:30-1:30pm.

REP Calendar 2026-2027

Mater Dei Catholic Parish Religious Education Program (REP) Information

  • Completed REP Registration Form (Form available online @ materdeicv.org)
  • Payment (due at the time of registration)
  • Copy of Parent’s Church Marriage Certificate (submit to the Catechist on the 2nd day of class)
  • Copy of Child(ren)’s Baptismal Certificate (submit to the Catechist on the 2nd day of class)
  • Register to the Parish (Online)
  • Start attending mass at Mater Dei and participate in the parish life and ministry
  • Transfer letter/Transcript from previous REP (submit to the REP Office prior to REP registration)
  • Plus, the documents needed prior to REP Registration

Communion:
  • Pre-Communion (1st year): For students in grades 1-2
    • Grades 3 and up students who need the Pre-Communion class (1st year) will attend the REP class based on their grade level in their Elementary School. This will count as their Pre-Communion (1st year preparation). On their second year, they will attend the Communion Upper Grade class (2nd year)
  • Communion (2nd year): For students who already completed the Pre-Communion (1st year) preparation requirements
Confirmation:
  • Pre-Confirmation (1st year): Students in grades 9-11
  • Confirmation (2nd year): For students who already completed all the Pre-Confirmation (1st year) requirements, may be registered to the second-year Confirmation class
Email Address:
  • once classes are in session, we will communicate with you using the email address provided on the registration form. If you need to update, please inform your catechist and the REP office
